Hi, welcome to my blog. This is my space to record events and my thoughts, and to share some of my crafts. I enjoy trying out many crafts but primarily enjoy fiber arts. Right now I'm on a knitting kick. I tend to rotate my enthusiasms.

I am a Christian and this blog will reflect that worldview, although usually for more spiritually-themed post I use my "x2" blog (link below), but not always. I am a homeschooling mother with 5 living children. I am American, but live in England because my husband is English. Besides homeschooling, and doing crafts, I enjoy trying new recipes, reading, visiting historical sites, walking in the country and visiting with friends. I hope you enjoy and are uplifted, encouraged, or challenged by your visit here. Get yourself a cup of tea, or a nice tall glass of iced tea, and visit for awhile!

Oh my

Oh my, I have really dropped the blogging ball, haven't I?  Sorry about that.  And right now I need to go get a few things done, so won't try to play catch-up this time, but I will try to do better.

I have been knitting quite a few dishcloths, and am hoping to sell them at the Women's Institute market or a local village's tabletop sales.   I'll try to get some photos up of some of them.

Last week we were on a camping holiday with others from our denomination, on a pig farm in Suffolk.  It is called Athelington Hall - you can see the website here .  Do click on the pig photo at the bottom, and then navigate your way around the other page, to find the song "Stand By Your Ham" performed by a number of pig farmers in the UK.   Pig farmers in the UK were operating for a while at a loss, because of the power of the supermarkets (fuelled further by the fact that most of us don't buy from smaller suppliers) - the campaign was to address that issue and I don't know how successful it was or is.  Peter's pigs were lovely, and not smelly up close and personal (another lady and I got to go see Peter feed them), but my family was the closest tent to the pig sheds and we sure got a nose full from time to time!   We had a lovely time, with good teaching, fellowship, and fun and games.  I miss our new friends already.  As we are still relatively new to our current church, this was the first AH camp we have gone to, and I do hope we can go again.

Well, since I have no photos to show you currently, I'll leave you with a link to someone who does - enjoy Tea's place .
